A downloadable voxel game for Windows

This is a prototype of a voxel engine I am working on where you can build/destroy blocks in a grassy environment with trees and tiny red birds! You can build cool machines like cars, airplanes, propellers and a rather strange but interesting walking robot. Create logic using signal blocks. All of this is explained in the devlog.

Oh, and its raytraced!

Also check out the process for building a propeller airplane:

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. For now, you can leave YouTube comments or post them here. Enjoy!

Controls

WASD - Movement

SPACE - Jump

T - Open Tool bar and select voxel tool with mouse

Left Mouse Click: Build

Right Mouse Click: Destroy

Mouse Wheel: Change voxel size

**Rules**

When you first start the game, you will spawn on a platform. Above you, there will be some terrain that will start generating with trees. Since this is a prototype, it is meant for testing, not for looks!

Tap the space bar multiple times to multi-jump onto the terrain (or stay on the platform).

Build

In order to place blocks (voxels), you have select the "Edit Objects" option from the Toolbar. Use the mouse wheel to change the voxel size (You might want to increase the size since the start size is very small). Aim at the ground and left click. Then switch to the "Add/Destroy blocks" tool and start building voxels! You can change the color of the blocks (currently very limited because its a prototype) and make them glow!

You can also place voxels (with the Edit Objects tool) of different sizes on other voxels. This comes in handy for creating attachments. I recommend watching the devlogs to understand how this process is intended to work.

Attachments

Go to the Attachments tool in the Toolbar to view all the cool attachments you can add in the game. Play around with them to see what you can make!

Bugs

The interaction bar (the round buttons that pop up when you aim at attachments) does not go away when you change tools.

If your voxel object is too big or the torque/speed is too large, it can cause the physics engine to break and you will lose your creations.

When you switch between tools and try to black an attachment/voxel object somewhere that is out of range, when you get in range it will place the block there.
